Job Description

Climeworks Solutions is committed to providing high-quality carbon removal solutions to more than 200 multinational companies, including over 50% of the Forbes Global 2000 firms engaged in carbon dioxide removal (CDR). As the demand for top-tier CDR is projected to grow exponentially over the coming decades, Climeworks Solutions aims to lead in scaling this emerging market and shaping its future.

Your Role

  • Strategic Account Development: Build and prioritize your own pipeline by connecting with key stakeholders and developing strong relationships across all levels of seniority within target accounts.
  • Climate Strategy & CDR Advisory: Lead the offering process by analyzing customer needs and climate strategies, advising them on their net-zero journeys, and designing tailored CDR proposals in collaboration with cross-functional experts.
  • Business Development & Industry Engagement: Represent Climeworks Solutions at leading conferences and industry events, initiating communication campaigns to develop new opportunities.
  • Partnerships & Alliance Management: Maintain and develop relationships with industry alliances and associations that contribute to commercial success.
  • Commercial Negotiation Leadership: Lead negotiation phases, orchestrating the contributions of all necessary departments and specialists.
  • Customer Success & Portfolio Management: Manage successful account operations, ensuring delivery of carbon dioxide removal credits and providing market insights to customers.

Your Story

Requirements

  • What Drives You: You are enthusiastic about building a new, climate-relevant industry with immense market potential. You thrive on the potential of creating success in the carbon removal sector alongside a dedicated and dynamic team.
  • Educational Background: You hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sustainability, Climate, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree or equivalent advanced qualification is an advantage.
  • Experience: You have a proven track record in developing businesses in emerging markets, with at least 8 years of experience in commercial roles with B2B accounts, ideally in entrepreneurial environments.
  • Skills & Strengths: Strong leadership skills, adept at developing trust with customers, excellent networking abilities, analytical strengths, and a talent for navigating agile environments confidently.
  • Language & Communication: Exceptional English skills (C2 level) with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and structured narratives, and experience with public speaking.

Formalities

This position is based in Opfikon, Zurich, and we require onsite work at least three days per week. The flexible job title indicates the option for full-time or part-time employment based on your preferences.
