Job Description

Are you passionate about enhancing manufacturing and logistics performance through structured analysis, Lean methodologies, and practical Industrial Engineering solutions? As a Senior OpEx Engineer, you will drive operational excellence across manufacturing and logistics. Your focus will be on analyzing and optimizing end-to-end value streams, automated production systems, material flows, and operational processes with an emphasis on productivity, OEE, capacity, lead times, and inventory.

In addition, you will serve as the Industrial Engineering and OpEx expert in factory investment projects (manufacturing equipment) — from initial concept development and business-case assessment to detailed process and technical design, implementation, and operational stabilization.

With your analytical, pragmatic, and hands-on approach, you will be a trusted partner to operational stakeholders, helping to shape efficient, scalable, and future-ready operations.

You will join the Supply & Value Chain Excellence organization in Baden, reporting to the Team Lead Value Chain Digitalization, and will collaborate closely with business leadership, IT, and technical experts across our value chain.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize end-to-end value streams, automated production processes, and material flows.
  • Identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities using operational data and structured process analysis.
  • Improve productivity, OEE, capacity utilization, lead times, inventory, and overall process stability.
  • Develop future production and logistics concepts, including layouts, capacity models, line balancing, material supply, and buffer strategies.
  • Lead Value Stream Mapping and other Lean improvement initiatives alongside operational teams.
  • Act as the Industrial Engineering and OpEx expert in factory investment projects, including the design and dimensioning of automated manufacturing cells.
  • Translate operational requirements into robust process and technical concepts from initial assessment through implementation and stabilization.
  • Develop fact-based recommendations, business cases, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Establish standards, methods, and best practices for Operational Excellence and Industrial Engineering.
  • Coach stakeholders and project teams in Lean and Industrial Engineering methods.

Your Background

  • 5+ years of experience in OpEx, Lean Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • University Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep expertise in production and logistics processes, material flow optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Hands-on experience with process optimization methodologies, bottleneck analysis, simulations, and value stream design from production cells to full factory.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders, external partners, budgets, timelines, and project risks.
  • Structured, hands-on, and solution-oriented working style in cross-functional teams, with strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).

Your Benefits

  • Attractive compensation & benefits.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Global parental leave program.
  • Flexible working models.
