How You Can Make an Impact
As a Data Architect in our AI & Data team, you will assist senior stakeholders at our clients in making the right architectural choices and lead the design and implementation of innovative enterprise-wide solutions.
Your Impact Areas
- Lead Enterprise Data Architecture Design: Help clients modernize complex system landscapes spanning multiple solutions (e.g., MDM, CRM, ERP, Cloud DWH) that need to be integrated. Work with senior client stakeholders to design enterprise-level architecture and enforce pragmatic architecture standards while planning modernization journeys.
- Lead Cloud Data Platform Design & Implementation: Assist clients in building scalable, high-performance Cloud data platforms that meet business needs. Your work will cover data modeling, integration, transformation pipelines, DevOps, and leveraging AI for smarter platform operations.
- Architect Integrated Solutions: Help clients design and build integrations essential for running their business processes and delivering data products.
- Market Positioning: Strengthen our architecture footprint in the market through events, conferences, and discussions with key clients and partners.
- Internal Development: Mentor junior team members within AI & Data and set strategic focuses for expertise building in Switzerland and in relation to near- and off-shore teams.
What We Are Looking For
Experience
- You have 4 or more years of relevant experience as a Data Architect and have led teams that designed and implemented complex cloud-based ecosystems.
- You possess an engineering background and have at least one hands-on data platform end-to-end implementation experience as a data engineer (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake).
- You have experience evaluating and making data architecture decisions, influencing strategic direction, and convincing business and IT stakeholders.
- You provide guidance to data engineers on best practices in coding styles and quality.
- You hold experience across various database types, including structured, semi-structured, and graph-based models.
- Nice to have: experience in packaging data platform solutions into Infrastructure as Code using solutions like Terraform.

- Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate points of view effectively.
- Proven team leadership skills with the ability to partner with external teams and coach team members.
Technical Expertise
- Strong skills in modeling methods with experience or certifications from DAMA, TOGAF or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions on major cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.
- Expertise in architecting modern data platforms (Lakehouse, Medallion, Lambda).
- Ability to design E2E architectures balancing performance, cost, and maintainability.
- Proficiency in data integration & ETL design from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT such as Informatica or DBT is a plus.
- Expertise in metadata and event-driven architecture with best practices for capturing metadata.
- Familiarity with programming frameworks and data formats including SQL, Python, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
Language Proficiency
- Fluent in English; fluency in German and/or French is highly preferred.
