Position: Senior Manager (Head of) Product Portfolio and Applications
In this critical role, you will enable engine designers and builders to access exceptional turbocharging support. You will cultivate robust relationships with customers, engaging with R&D leadership to drive forward-thinking innovation. By identifying engine development trends, influencing product portfolio decisions, and facilitating successful product launches, you will play a vital role in shaping Accelleron’s market success.
Your Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships at the highest levels of R&D management.
- Support OEM engine development programs, focusing on measurable value creation.
- Identify engine development trends and communicate clear technology and product requirements.
- Lead turbocharger product placements from concept to release across various engine platforms.
- Maximize the use of Accelleron’s product portfolio by leveraging operational data to enhance performance-driven concepts.
- Develop innovative business models and go-to-market strategies covering the product lifecycle.
- Prepare and facilitate technical meetings with customers.
- Contribute to Accelleron’s Product Market Strategy process.
Your Role in the Management Team
As a vital team member, you will actively contribute to the development and execution of the Product Group strategy, providing essential insights to ensure alignment with engine development trends in our strategic planning.
Key Performance Indicators
- Achievement and application of optimal power density using operational data.
- Percentage of Accelleron solution releases compared to total engine releases with OEMs.
- Minimized number of turbocharger performance specifications needed to cover varying applications.
Scope & Dimensions
- Budget responsibility: 2 MCHF per year
- Team leadership: 3 direct reports and additional indirect reports across Switzerland, China, Korea, and Japan.
- Functions led: Application Engineering, Product Management, Portfolio Management.
Your Background
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the piston engine industry, particularly within the Asian market.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in a strategic or customer-facing role.
- Strong customer focus, market understanding, and cultural adaptability.
- Proven ability to drive change, develop talent, and foster high-performance teams.
- A strategic mindset paired with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
- Business fluency in English and German.
