Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with global responsibilities, based in Baden, Switzerland. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Group General Counsel and have the opportunity to shape and implement global Integrity procedures, including awareness and training initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

Integrity

• Support the continuous improvement and implementation of Global Integrity and data privacy procedures, in collaboration with the Group Integrity Officer.
• Design and deliver awareness and training programs, including content development, delivery methods, administration, and reporting, with a focus on risk, cost, and efficiency considerations. Leverage AI technology to enhance training effectiveness.
• Manage key components of the Accelleron global compliance program, including the development of internal controls and data analytics to prevent and detect potential breaches.
• Facilitate retaliation-free reporting channels to ensure accessibility for all stakeholders.
• Oversee internal investigations, coordinating with external resources, managing case resolutions, implementing disciplinary actions, and other remediation measures.

Senior Legal Counsel (Global and Region)

• Structure, draft, review, and negotiate strategic collaboration agreements, joint ventures, and M&A agreements, while managing the overall deal process, including external counsel management and cost.
• Provide legal guidance to global management and regional teams, safeguarding the organization’s legal interests and managing disputes.
• Develop contract standards and offer review and negotiation support for various commercial agreements.
• Design and deliver targeted training sessions.

Global Governance

• Collaborate as part of the global Legal, Integrity, and Intellectual Property team on international projects, including legal technology initiatives.
• Serve as Secretary of a committee of the Board of Directors.
• Support regulatory developments pertinent to our business and strategy, including areas such as geopolitics, data governance, AI, and sustainability.
• Assist the Group Trade Compliance Officer with sanctions and export controls management.
• Oversee external service providers, including legal counsel, ensuring compliance with agreed financial targets.

Your Background

• Master of Laws degree from a reputable law school and bar admission.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in an international business setting.
• Proven experience in establishing and managing compliance processes, particularly in anti-bribery and corruption, antitrust, sanctions/export controls, or data/AI governance.
• Demonstrated experience or curiosity in utilizing data, analytics, and artificial intelligence effectively to enhance business outcomes.
• Strong professional ethics and integrity, with sound judgment and analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication skills with stakeholders.
• Fluency in oral and written English and German is essential; proficiency in French, Spanish, or other languages is advantageous.
