Your Mission
Job Description:
- Engineering Solutions: Provide innovative engineering solutions and develop components from concept to serial production, contributing to the next generation of Direct Air Capture Products.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of design projects.
- Product Design & CAD: Create and optimize product designs, utilizing CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) to produce 3D parts, component assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Design Documentation: Maintain accurate design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Prototype Development & Testing: Support the fabrication and testing of prototypes and conduct basic tests to validate design concepts and troubleshoot issues.
- Quality Assurance & Improvement: Participate in design reviews and quality assurance processes, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, to ensure continuous product improvement.
Your Story
Requirements:
- Education & Engineering Expertise: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a thorough understanding of engineering principles and development processes.
- Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Knowledge: At least 5 years of experience designing mechanical components for industrial equipment, including expertise in material selection and compliance with industry regulations.
- CAD Proficiency & Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software for designing mechanical parts and creating technical drawings, with familiarity in geometric tolerancing a plus.
- Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving: Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and enthusiasm for creative problem-solving.
- Communication & Teamwork: Strong communication skills in English, enjoy mentoring, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Eager to develop technical skills and advance your engineering career.

Formalities:
This position is based in Opfikon, Zurich, and we require you to work onsite at least three days per week. The flexibility indicated in the job title allows you to choose either full-time or part-time based on what works for you.
