About the Role

We are seeking a talented professional to lead our Global Pricing Strategies and pricing decisions across our portfolio, enabling patient access while maximizing the value of Takeda products. This role will infuse pricing excellence and a value-based mindset throughout all strategic pricing activities.

How You Will Contribute

As a key partner representing the Global Pricing team, you will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned markets within the IBU structure. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing pricing implementation support aligned with pricing guidance and governance.
  • Endorsing or withholding approval of product price proposals consistent with global guidance at launch and any post-launch list and net prices for assigned markets.
  • Monitoring the implementation of local pricing governance, including harmonization of pricing definitions and adherence to global pricing governance.
  • Collaborating closely with Global Access Strategy to develop access and pricing strategies for late-stage pipeline and launch assets, ensuring seamless execution with IBU Access teams.
  • Updating pricing guidance and strategy in alignment with access strategies, including tiered pricing and lifecycle management.
  • Driving and coordinating pricing research activities for late-stage pipeline products in collaboration with global and cross-functional teams.
  • Identifying and monitoring competitive pricing policy trends for allocated geographies, synthesizing competitor pricing information for allocated assets.
  • Providing contributions to global launch planning processes for assigned areas to maximize asset and portfolio value.
  • Developing innovative pricing strategies and value-based contracts for late-stage pipeline products.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on pricing for key global markets and delivering insights on developments to shape pricing strategy.
  • Leading the adoption of digital capabilities throughout the GPA community and cultivating a value-based mindset in all stakeholder interactions.

Skills

  • A university degree is required; a Master’s and/or PhD in a healthcare discipline or business is preferred.
  • 8-10 years of pharmaceutical experience, with strong preference for direct experience in international pricing and reimbursement.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in global pricing or market access roles.
  • Expertise in pricing and reimbursement policies, with a knowledge of the global pricing environment and interdependencies of pricing strategies.
  • Strategical leadership in Global Pricing with the potential for significant business impact.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills for navigating complex analysis in dynamic environments.
  • Results-driven with strong prioritization capabilities.
  • Extensive understanding of business processes, with the ability to shape and improve these processes.
  • Highly collaborative with recognized leadership in pricing activities across Global, Regional, and Country teams.
  • Ensuring timely engagement and alignment of key stakeholders and senior leadership support for key pricing decisions.
