Job Opportunity: Senior Business Analyst (m/w/d)

We are partnering with a leading client in Zurich to recruit an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a prominent organization within the financial markets sector. This role is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in exchange trading, market infrastructure, and requirements engineering who thrives at the intersection of business and technology.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyze, document, and validate complex business requirements within trading and market infrastructure environments.
• Produce high-quality business requirements, functional specifications, interface specifications, and implementation-ready analysis deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, architects, developers, and testing teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Assess business, operational, and technical impacts of new trading functionality across multiple systems.
• Support Agile delivery teams throughout feature refinement, implementation planning, testing, and deployment.
• Contribute to the enhancement of trading platform capabilities and market infrastructure services.
• Ensure requirements align with regulatory, operational, and business objectives.

Your Profile

• Minimum 7-8 years of experience in requirements engineering within exchange trading, market infrastructure, capital markets, or broader financial services.
• Strong expertise in exchange-traded financial instruments, particularly:
  • Fixed Income and Structured Products
  • Experience with Equities and ETFs is advantageous.
• Deep understanding of:
  • Trading platforms and matching engines
  • Order management and order handling
  • Trade execution workflows
  • Market models and trading lifecycle processes
• Proven experience analyzing and specifying complex trading functionality in multi-system environments.
• Ability to create clear, comprehensive, and implementation-ready specifications and analysis artifacts.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Knowledge of financial market regulations and market infrastructure concepts.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
