SAP DMS Techno-Functional Consultant (Support & Integration)

We are supporting a global SAP customer in the search for an experienced SAP DMS Techno-Functional Consultant to join an established support team. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy tackling complex production issues while integrating functional SAP DMS expertise with light technical development work. The primary focus of this position is incident management, troubleshooting, SAP integrations, and ensuring seamless document processing across interconnected systems.

This is a fully remote position open to consultants located within the EU.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd & 3rd line support for SAP DMS incidents
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP DMS issues
• Support SAP document management processes and integrated document management solutions (EndScale)
• Monitor and validate XML message generation and processing
• Investigate interface issues between SAP and external systems
• Perform root cause analysis and communicate findings to business stakeholders
• Execute functional, regression, and integration testing
• Support SAP document interfaces and document processing
• Deliver minor SAP enhancements and developments (approximately 20% of workload)
• Collaborate with technical and functional teams to improve system stability

Required Experience

• Strong SAP DMS experience
• Experience in SAP Document Management support
• Knowledge of SAP integration
• Proficiency in XML messaging and interface troubleshooting
• Incident management and production support skills
• Competence in root cause analysis
• Experience with functional and integration testing
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Basic ABAP debugging skills
• Experience with small SAP developments
• Familiarity with EndScale or similar document management solutions

Work Split

• 80% SAP DMS support, incident investigation & troubleshooting
• 20% SAP development & enhancements
