Power BI Developer | Remote (EU) | Contract until EOY 2026
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join a long-term international project, focusing on delivering high-quality business intelligence solutions that facilitate data-driven decision-making.
This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant with robust Power BI expertise, especially those with experience in Qlik environments or migrations. Familiarity with Deneb custom visuals would be a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
- Build scalable data models and semantic layers
- Develop advanced DAX calculations, KPIs, and business metrics
- Create and optimize ETL processes using Power Query (M)
- Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders
- Optimize report performance and usability
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Power BI governance best practices
- Support migration and enhancement of Qlik Sense/QlikView reports into Power BI
- Produce technical documentation and support production deployments
- Troubleshoot reporting and data issues
Required Skills
- 3-8+ years of Power BI development experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- Power BI Desktop
- DAX
- Power Query (M)
- Data modeling
- Experience designing enterprise dashboards and reporting solutions
- Understanding of Power BI Service, workspaces, and deployment processes
- Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS)
- Strong SQL skills
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- Qlik Sense or QlikView experience
- Experience migrating reports from Qlik to Power BI
- Experience with Deneb custom visuals
- Azure data platform exposure
- BI governance and best practices
