In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the direction, prioritization, budgeting, resource allocation, and successful delivery of offline projects for Language Abroad, part of EF’s language and cultural immersion programs. You will manage a team of up to 10 individuals and work closely with creative teams, global markets, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure the delivery of outstanding work to the necessary standards, budget, and deadlines. The projects will encompass brochures, flyers, magazines, supplementary materials, out-of-home (OOH) advertising, and various offline requests for 45 global markets.
A key aspect of this position will be to spearhead a new, AI-enabled process for content production, aiming for a more structured and automated workflow.
Your Key Responsibilities

- Lead the annual print cycle from planning and scope-setting through to production and delivery.
- Set priorities, scope, ambition, and quality standards across brochures, magazines, and other print materials.
- Manage the integrated project plan, including key milestones and critical production dates.
- Make strategic decisions when faced with conflicts in timing, cost, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
- Market and Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the senior point of contact for markets, Country Managers, Product Heads, leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Establish clear expectations around deadlines, localization, approvals, and content changes.
- Facilitate stakeholder reviews of content and resolve conflicting requirements or escalate issues as needed.
- Conduct training for markets on production process requirements, coordinating orders, stock levels, and other logistical elements.
- Budget, Suppliers, and Production Oversight:
- Oversee the print marketing budget and handle key production and supplier decisions.
- Develop printer and supplier strategies in collaboration with the Print Production Manager.
- Manage contracts, quotes, paper orders, production schedules, and delivery logistics.
- Ensure timely production starts with finalized content, creative, and technical requirements.
- People and Team Management:
- Lead recruitment and onboarding of freelancers and temporary staff.
- Supervise a team of up to 10, allocating resources effectively across projects and requests.
- Identify and mitigate resource risks in copywriting, design, photography, editorial, and production.
- AI & Automation Oversight:
- Spearhead the design and implementation of a new print material content-production process utilizing AI and automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define content templates, fields, and approval processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automating content drafting and localization workflows.
- Establish quality and version control processes to ensure accuracy and brand alignment.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure final quality sign-offs for print materials, adhering to editorial and technical standards.
- Manage approvals and sign-offs at various project stages, including printer softproofs.
