Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Manage internal relationships and key stakeholders to ensure successful acquisition and onboarding.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the regulatory, accounting, and economic impacts of prospective transactions.
- Design and review bespoke reinsurance solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of clients.
- Work collaboratively across time zones and geographies with Hannover Re entities globally on new business opportunities. This may include supporting activities with international travel as required.
- Effectively communicate how complex reinsurance solutions operate and their effects on risk profiles and financial outcomes to the senior leadership team, which includes the CEO, Business Centre Head L&H, CFO, Head of Corporate Actuarial, and CRO.
- Draft and review treaty wordings and transaction summary documentation.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to internal colleagues on the latest pricing developments.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Qualified actuary status with 2+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience in life reinsurance is advantageous, particularly in pricing or structuring roles.
- International experience in reinsurance business across varying regulatory and accounting regimes, geographies, reinsurance structures, and product designs is beneficial.
- Advanced knowledge of European solvency and regulatory requirements.
- A critical thinker who performs independent assessments in new situations and possesses the confidence to challenge the status quo.
- Strategic mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and driving business opportunities and influencing key stakeholders.
