The Opportunity

We are seeking a Policy and Regulatory Content Lead to help strengthen Hitachi Energy’s strategic positioning as a global technology leader in the energy sector. In this role, you will craft and execute a thought leadership strategy that reflects the company’s technology and innovation leadership by providing valuable insights and strategic positions.

You will lead the development of high-impact reports, position papers, and strategic publications that communicate technology trends, research findings, and policy/regulatory insights to a global audience. This will support the company’s influence and advocacy efforts while enhancing visibility across stakeholder audiences. Collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts, domain specialists, and analysts, you will create compelling narratives that reinforce Hitachi Energy’s role in shaping industry dialogue.

This role reports to the Global Head of Government and Institutional Relations and blends strategic insight, analysis, technology understanding, deep industry knowledge, and storytelling to produce content that supports Hitachi Energy’s communications, government and institutional positioning, and presence at conferences and other external engagements.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Craft and execute a thought leadership strategy that showcases Hitachi Energy’s technology and innovation leadership, aligned with market trends and business objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end development of strategic reports, position papers, and consultation responses—from planning and research to writing, editing, and publication.
  • Collaborate with internal and external experts to gather insights and create compelling, data-driven narratives that reinforce Hitachi Energy’s role in shaping industry dialogue.
  • Translate complex technical and regulatory content into clear, engaging, and accessible materials for diverse audiences, ensuring consistency in tone, style, and brand voice.

Your Background

  • Master’s degree in engineering, Energy and Environmental Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 10–15 years of experience in the energy sector with a proven track record of producing high-level reports, white papers, or strategic publications.
  • Experience leading programs and publishing research based on in-depth knowledge of emerging and mature markets.
  • Familiarity and work experience in Switzerland with global exposure, enabling the candidate to ramp-up quickly.
  • Substantial experience working with multiple stakeholders, including institutions and both private and public sector corporates at senior levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into impactful narratives.
  • Excellent command of written English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with global energy trends, technology advancements, and policy/regulatory developments.
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and timelines, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and data visualization tools.
  • Exceptional ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including global headquarters, multilateral organizations, and corporate strategy teams.
