As the importance of tight, low-latency integration with CPUs and GPUs grows, our Data Transfer team is looking for a dedicated leader to accelerate this transition. You will lead a small group of proven experts while reporting directly to our VP of R&D. Zurich Instruments is a proud member of the Rohde & Schwarz Group.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead our high-performance data path team, focusing on CPU/GPU integration for next-generation quantum computing instruments.
- Drive all aspects of people development in close collaboration with our HR team.
- Engage in architectural decisions for backend and server software.
- Build engineering capability, manage technical debt, and optimize delivery processes.
- Own the delivery of new features.
- Align with stakeholders, including product management, cross-functional agile development teams, and our Engineering Productivity team.
Your Profile
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience leading a software engineering team, demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills.
- Broad experience with C++ in a professional environment.
- Familiarity with networking protocols and interfacing with firmware or specialized hardware.
- Experience with CUDA, Python, or Rust is a plus.
- Exposure to RDMA/RoCE, high-performance computing, or low-latency systems is beneficial.
- Background in controlling lab equipment is an advantage.
