Your Responsibilities
- Contribute to an interdisciplinary research project examining the social life of small-scale solar infrastructures across rural and urban Southeast Asia.
- Develop and conduct a subproject, perform original fieldwork, and complete a doctoral dissertation.
- Actively participate in project activities, including workshops, seminars, and international conferences.
- Contribute to academic publications that emerge from the project.
Your Profile
- Master's degree in Social Anthropology, Development Studies, Human Geography, or a closely related field.
- Substantial experience in qualitative research with a keen interest in ethnographic methods.
- Desirable experience in mixed-method approaches, including participatory mapping and survey-based research.
- Motivated to conduct extended fieldwork in Southeast Asia and engage critically with questions of energy, development, and social change.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to collaborative research environments.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required; knowledge of Vietnamese or Bahasa Indonesia is an asset or a willingness to learn relevant languages for fieldwork.
