Position: Partnerships Coordinator (80%)
We are seeking a Partnerships Coordinator to join our Zurich office starting in September 2025 (or upon agreement). In this role, you will help attract and retain major donors in the German and French-speaking areas of Switzerland, focusing primarily on institutions and some foundations.
Your Role
As part of a dedicated team of 20 professionals, you will be instrumental in managing relationships with existing and new donors while supporting strategy development and administrative tasks. Your specific responsibilities will include:
- Managing professional relationships with current institutions and foundations to ensure long-term engagement and support.
- Preparing high-quality reports that align with donor requirements, in collaboration with the program department.
- Identifying new opportunities from institutions and foundations in German- and French-speaking Switzerland and reaching out actively.
- Developing successful funding proposals in line with organizational priorities and donor wishes.
- Securing new grants and nurturing relationships with donors through networking and communication.
- Assisting in the due diligence process and other administrative tasks related to grant and partnership management.
Your Profile
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities who is looking to gain experience in partnership management. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in partner/client management, fundraising, business development, or a closely related field.
Ideally, you possess the following skills and experiences:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (international development, business administration, or a related field).
- German or French as a native language, with proficiency in the other language and strong English skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication and relationship management skills.
- Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail.
- Solid research skills, particularly in identifying donor opportunities in Switzerland.
- Familiarity with public-sector donors and their funding procedures in Switzerland, including reporting requirements.
- Experience preparing proposals, budgets, and reports for public and institutional donors.
- Competency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with advanced document presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and international team.
