Offensive Security and Vulnerability Engineer

As an Offensive Security and Vulnerability Engineer at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the bank's defensive capabilities. By thinking like an attacker, you will provide expertise in simulating attacks, identifying weaknesses, and guiding the remediation process to protect our digital assets.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform complex penetration testing, red teaming exercises, and vulnerability assessments across all layers of our infrastructure (network, application, cloud, endpoint).
  • Oversee the vulnerability management lifecycle to ensure the timely identification, classification, prioritization, and remediation of vulnerabilities across the bank's technology stack.
  • Provide recommendations on how to enhance security controls and mitigate identified risks.
  • Continuously update your knowledge of emerging threats, attack vectors, and cutting-edge security testing techniques to maintain the bank's security edge.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and prepare comprehensive reports for executive audiences on security posture and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Ensure that all security practices and recommendations align with Swiss banking regulations and international cybersecurity standards.

Your Profile

  • University degree in computer science or a completed apprenticeship or similar banking education.
  • 10 years of professional experience in offensive security and vulnerability management, and/or additional training in penetration testing, vulnerability management, APT simulation, and security tools development.
  • Experience with offensive security and the development of security tools.
  • Successful track record in security consultancy.
  • Ability to weigh problems and set priorities effectively.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and a high level of accountability with the ability to work with various stakeholders.
  • Hands-on mentality with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to work independently.
  • Leadership experience.
