About Our Client

For our client, an internationally active company in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector, we are looking for a dedicated Laboratory Technician. Your Responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out chemical synthesis experiments safely and efficiently, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Generate, evaluate, and communicate experimental data in close exchange with Process Chemists and cross-functional project teams.
  • Contribute to process optimization, troubleshooting, and the scale-up of chemical reactions into pilot and manufacturing environments.
  • Support the implementation of advanced technology platforms, including Biocatalysis, Flow Chemistry, Process Analytical Technology (PAT), surfactant-based chemistry, and sustainable process approaches.
  • Assist manufacturing teams and external partners with process transfers, yield optimization, and cycle-time predictions.
  • Participate in the production of small-scale GMP and non-GMP batches, including those for advanced therapeutic modalities such as ADCs, as required.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, analytical instruments, and work areas in an operational, safe, and audit-ready condition.
  • Ensure precise and compliant documentation in the electronic lab notebook (eLN), following Good Documentation Practice.
  • Proactively flag safety observations and operational risks, supporting a strong HSE and GxP compliance culture.

Your Profile

  • Completed apprenticeship as a Laboratory Technician (Laborant/in) or an equivalent technical-scientific qualification.
  • Hands-on experience in synthetic chemistry and genuine enthusiasm for laboratory work.
  • Practical exposure to process development activities and the scale-up of chemical reactions.
  • Working knowledge of common synthesis and analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC, NMR, EasyMax, and FlexyALR.
  • Solid understanding of laboratory safety and HSE standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and a meticulous, detail-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in German at a good working level and strong written and spoken English.
  • An independent, solution-oriented mindset paired with excellent collaboration and communication skills across teams.
