How You Can Make an Impact

The Solution Architect will manage a variety of projects concurrently, overseeing the end-to-end design from inception to delivery. This role will entail engaging with a range of business challenges and collaborating with subject matter experts—both internal and external—as well as implementation teams to devise effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Providing technical leadership to define and articulate practical, commercially viable solutions based on functional and non-functional requirements related to business challenges or opportunities.
• Ensuring all business, application, information/data, infrastructure, and security elements are sufficiently detailed for implementation teams to proceed.
• Addressing testing, release/transition, and operational/support/service considerations.
• Collaborating with the Enterprise Architecture team to align solutions with business and technology strategy while seeking minimal dispensations where appropriate.
• Leading and coordinating internal and external subject matter experts involved in solution design and implementation.
• Driving and leading the implementation of approved solutions in close collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Identifying quick wins or short-term transition architectures (such as a minimum viable product) for prompt realization of business benefits with reduced risk, complexity, and cost.
• This role does not require any line management responsibilities.

Who We Are Looking For

Essential:

• Experience in designing and delivering practical and commercially viable solutions for business challenges.
• Demonstrated experience in defining business, application, information/data, infrastructure, and security elements of a solution that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate solutions to both senior and technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate with and ensure quality output from subject matter experts, including third-party professionals.
• 3-5 years of experience in operating systems, system security, networking, compute, storage/backup, cloud computing, and database management (preferably within the Microsoft stack, including Azure).
• Azure Cloud Architect certification or equivalent experience, along with working knowledge of DevOps tools and automation methodologies for deploying solutions within a cloud platform.

Preferred:

• TOGAF accreditation or BCS Chartered Professional status, or Fellow in Solution Development & Architecture.
• Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards (e.g., ISO27001, PCI-DSS).
• Proficiency in German, both oral and written.

You will be part of an established Project Delivery team that has made significant progress in bridging the gap between business and IT. The team consists of Project Managers, Business Relationship Managers, Solution Architects, and Business Change Management professionals.
