How You Can Make an Impact

The Solution Architect will manage multiple projects concurrently, owning the end-to-end design from inception to delivery completion. This role involves engaging with various business challenges and collaborating with subject matter experts (including third parties) and implementation teams to devise effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Provide technical leadership to define and articulate pragmatic and commercially viable solutions based on both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Ensure all elements—including business, application, information/data, infrastructure, and security—are detailed enough for implementation teams to proceed.
• Consider testing, release/transition, and operational/support/service aspects.
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure solutions are aligned with business and technology strategies.
• Lead coordination among subject matter experts (SMEs) during the solution design and implementation phases.
• Drive and lead the implementation of approved solutions while working closely with SMEs.
• Identify quick wins or short-term transition architectures to enable prompt realization of business benefits while minimizing risk, complexity, and cost.
• This role does not require line management responsibilities.

Who We Are Looking For

Essential:

• Proven experience in designing and delivering practical, commercially viable solutions to both new and existing business challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to define business, application, information/data, infrastructure, and security elements of a solution, along with handling exceptions where necessary.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both oral and written, with the ability to convey solutions to both senior and detailed/technical audiences.
• Experience working with and ensuring quality outputs from SMEs, including third-party stakeholders.
• 3-5 years of experience in at least two of the following areas: operating systems, system security, networking, compute, storage/backup, cloud computing, and database management (primarily within the Microsoft stack, including Azure).
• Azure Cloud Architect certification or equivalent experience, along with working knowledge of DevOps tools and automation methodologies for deploying solutions in a Cloud environment.

Preferred:

• TOGAF accreditation or BCS Chartered Professional, or Fellow in Solution Development & Architecture.
• Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards (e.g., ISO27001, PCI-DSS).
• Ability to communicate in German, both oral and written.

You will join an established Project Delivery team that has successfully bridged the gap between business and IT. The team comprises Project Managers, Business Relationship Managers, Solution Architects, and Business Change Management professionals.
