Your Role

Are you at your best when serving clients and providing specialist real assets and private markets knowledge? Do you have the demonstrated ability to work with clients to deliver alternative investment solutions?

We are looking for someone who can:

• Provide specialist knowledge of UGA's Real Assets products to clients worldwide, with a particular focus on Japanese investors.
• Deliver high-quality investment solutions to institutional and private investors globally while offering guidance across all UGA investment verticals regarding the Japanese market.
• Contribute to fundraising efforts by completing RFPs and creating compelling marketing materials, including pitch decks and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs).
• Collaborate closely with the Investment teams to conduct research and analysis on market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitor activity to enhance investor communication and position the firm as a market leader.
• Work in tandem with the Asset Management Client Coverage teams and Global Wealth Management client advisors to support sales and client services efforts.
• Ensure the delivery of exceptional client service that maintains the current quality standard of SMA and facilitates potential top-up opportunities.

Your Team

You will be part of a large-scale global asset manager offering investment capabilities and styles across all major traditional and alternative asset classes, including a comprehensive sustainable investing offering.

In the Investor Relations Real Assets team within UBS Asset Management’s Unified Global Alternatives (UGA) unit, you will join a dynamic and ambitious environment. UGA manages over USD 300 billion in assets across Real Estate, Infrastructure, Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and Private Credit, making it a leading global alternatives investor. The team is committed to securing commitments from new investors and managing relationships with existing ones. Our goal is to act as a trusted partner for investors, client advisors, distribution colleagues, and investment teams, ensuring alignment with local market standards and sensitivities.

Your Expertise

• Significant experience (12-15 years) in an institutional investment, private markets specialist, product specialist, or alternative sales role.
• Deep understanding of the Japanese investor landscape and regulatory environment, effectively serving as a gatekeeper by delivering regular reporting and performance updates with precision and consistency.
• Experience in the Japanese alternatives market and providing tailored services to Japanese clients.
• Ability to understand and communicate the unique expectations of Japanese institutional investors to global teams.
• Advanced technical, product, and market knowledge in real estate and infrastructure investments, as well as multi-alternative products.
