Role Overview

In this role, you will manage our custom modules spare part catalog and our installed base, which constitutes a core part of our sales and service process, utilizing Power Platform (Dataverse) and SAP knowledge. You will transition these modules to the latest technologies (S4 HANA + MS Power Platform). In the long run, you will function as the application owner for these modules, overseeing the application strategy, handling change requests, and managing maintenance in collaboration with business stakeholders and global process owners. As an Integration Specialist, you will coordinate all kinds of integrations between our new ERP and our Dataverse-based Sales and Service modules.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement integration architectures between SAP (ECC/S4HANA) and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) as well as Microsoft Fabric (Data Pipeline, Dataflows Gen2, General ETL techniques).
  • Lead end-to-end integration projects, encompassing requirement gathering, architecture design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams, guiding them to build stable and reliable integration scenarios.
  • Collaborate with SAP Basis, ABAP, and functional teams to select appropriate technologies ensuring compatibility and performance.
  • Define governance, security, and compliance standards for integration solutions.
  • Optimize data pipelines and delta logic using Microsoft Fabric technologies or Azure Integration.
  • Extend Dataverse by creating streamlined integrations through Custom API or plugin design (C#).
  • Coordinate SAP implementation tasks with the SAP Development Team (Custom RfC, Custom APIs, CDS Views).
  • Stay updated on Microsoft and SAP integration capabilities, best practices, and the technology roadmap.

As a Technical Integration Owner, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the Support Team focusing on integration monitoring and addressing potential issues.
  • Monitoring and delivering development tasks, sprints, and service packs as per the agreed plan with platform owners and project managers.

As SAP Application Owner for "Product Specification & Variant Configuration", your tasks will include:

  • Overseeing the further development, optimization, and support of this specialized application in close cooperation with business departments.
  • Consulting, recording, analyzing, and evaluating requirements from various business units.
  • Coordinating change requests and managing implementation with both internal and external partners.
  • Ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Planning and executing necessary tests.
  • Supporting interfaces to adjacent SD modules and external systems.

Your Background

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric Dataflows or Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps) and predecessor technologies (BizTalk, SSIS, SAP PI).
  • Deep understanding of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA architecture, data structures, and integration technologies including IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and OData/API services.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Business Informatics, or a similar field.
  • Knowledge of technical products and their representation in SAP.
  • Experience in modeling variant products in the LO-VC and AVC SAP modules.
  • Familiarity with the SAP classification system and feature management.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Model Driven Power Apps/Dataverse).
  • Experience with the Azure integration stack, including API Management (APIM), Service Bus, Event Grid, Functions, and Logic Apps.
  • Familiarity with MS Azure DevOps.

Integration Experience

  • Proven ability to design and implement SAP-to-Microsoft integrations.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud/on-premise integration scenarios.
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, SAML, Azure AD).
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data modeling.

Soft Skills

  • Experience in agile projects and a DevOps mindset.
  • Fluent in German and English.
