IT Infrastructure Project Coordinator (German-speaking)

Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients in both the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is seeking an IT Infrastructure Project Coordinator for a contract position until the end of 2026 (with an option for extension) in the Valais area of Switzerland. This is an on-site position.

The successful candidate will supervise and support local initiatives while ensuring growth and adaptation at the Visp site. Collaborating with various stakeholders, they will help drive activities to successful completion.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise a portfolio of local projects throughout their lifecycle, including pre-assessment, initiation, planning and design, execution, monitoring & control, and closure across divisions.
  • Oversee project timelines, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring appropriate review and approvals from stakeholders.
  • Keep tickets updated at all times until issues are resolved.
  • Take ownership and drive vendor interactions, primarily on a technical level.
  • Understand and analyze business processes to integrate IT perspectives.
  • Support the business on IT-related topics for the respective projects.
  • Foster close collaboration between different departments and key stakeholders.
  • Assist in guiding projects to successful completion.
  • Support network engineering activities as needed, subject to workload and project priorities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU citizenship required.
  • A minimum of 5 years in IT management, implementation, and project management.
  • Proficiency in both German and English.
  • Able to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment and actively contribute to process improvement.
  • General understanding of GxP (Good Practice).
  • Well-organized and structured work approach; assertive.
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking, coupled with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse cultures.
  • Ability to coordinate projects with a clear understanding of underlying IT infrastructure.
