What Sets You Apart

As a Senior/Expert Software Engineer (JavaEE) at ONLU, your role will be pivotal in designing and implementing complex and modern software solutions for our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Actively contributing to the design of software solutions and components for the core benefits accounting system.
• Sharing responsibilities as a DevOps and Scrum team member throughout the software development lifecycle, from conception to operation.
• Implementing features, fixing bugs, and designing new components to meet project requirements.
• Ensuring high-quality code that aligns with the principles of clean code, test-driven development (TDD), and domain-driven design (DDD).

Requirements

Our most important criteria, in order of priority, are:

• In-depth experience in Java programming (Java/JEE), with involvement in various projects and knowledge of SQL (Oracle).
• Familiarity with current software engineering practices such as TDD, DDD, and Clean Code according to the Handbook of Agile Software Craftsmanship.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps, and other cloud technologies.
• Background working in agile teams, with a collaborative mindset for effective teamwork.
• Exposure to event- and workflow-driven frameworks is an advantage.
• A team-oriented personality that enjoys collaboration, is eager to learn, and is open to new approaches, with high-quality awareness.

What You Bring With You

• Completed studies in computer science or comparable training/experience.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in back-end development, ideally in an agile environment.
• Expertise in Java 17, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.
• In-depth knowledge of microservices architectures and their implementation.
• Experience with security concepts and OAuth2 flows.
• Solid understanding of Kafka and Kafka Streams.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitLab CI/CD and Tekton.
• Good knowledge of observability tools for effective error detection and correction.
