Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Informatica PowerCenter Developer to join our dynamic team in support of a major banking client in Zurich. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in ETL development, data integration, and performance optimization within complex and highly regulated financial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter (Mappings, Workflows, Sessions, Schedules).
- Collaborate closely with data architects, business analysts, and downstream system owners to translate business requirements into robust data integration solutions.
- Optimize existing mappings and workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Perform impact analysis, troubleshoot production issues, and conduct root-cause analysis in coordination with support teams.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, data quality, and security standards within the banking domain.
- Support migration initiatives, version upgrades, and integration with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.).
- Prepare documentation, technical design specifications, and operational guides.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as an Informatica PowerCenter Developer.
- Strong knowledge of ETL development, data warehousing concepts, and relational database design.
- Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning on large datasets.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
- Excellent understanding of batch processes, scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys), and data pipelines.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills (English required; German is an advantage).
Nice to Have
- Experience with Informatica PowerExchange, metadata manager, or data quality tools.
- Exposure to cloud migrations or modern data platforms.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
