Position: Head of Finance
As the Head of Finance, you will provide strong financial leadership and serve as a trusted partner to the leadership team. Your role will be instrumental in establishing robust and scalable financial structures, along with providing clear insights that support Zurich Instruments’ growth and international expansion. You will balance entrepreneurial flexibility with sound financial governance within a dynamic scale-up environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Finance team, overseeing accounting, controlling, consolidation, cash management, and product costing across HQ and international subsidiaries.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and closures in compliance with Swiss OR, internal policies, and group standards.
- Act as the Process Owner for finance and controlling, driving digitalization, ERP improvements, and implementing a strong internal control framework.
- Manage intercompany processes, transfer pricing, and consolidation, ensuring alignment with auditors and group requirements.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and industrial/project costing to support performance, profitability, and effective decision-making.
- Oversee tax compliance, corporate filings, and manage relationships with auditors, tax authorities, and external partners.
- Act as Compliance Officer for financial operations, managing outgoing flows and ensuring KYC/KY-Suppliers compliance and governance.
- Define and maintain scalable financial policies, processes, and best practices across all entities.
Your Profile
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand complex products and operations and translate them into clear financial insights and decisions.
- Proven senior finance leadership experience in an international SME or industrial/tech environment, ideally with multi-entity consolidation.
- Hands-on, pragmatic mindset - capable of diving into operational finance while steering strategic initiatives and leading the team.
- Solid expertise in accounting and controlling (Swiss OR or equivalent), including product costing, budgeting, cash management, and consolidation.
- Experience with ERP finance processes and digitalization; a track record of improving systems and workflows (Odoo experience is a plus).
- Strong background in internal controls, compliance, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, working effectively with leadership, auditors, tax authorities, and cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in German and English, with strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
