Contract: Permanent, 100% Full-Time

Start Date: November 1, 2026

Live-In Preferred: Yes, in Mies; live-out option available

Driving License Required: Yes, vehicle provided

Children: Three girls aged 5, 7, and 9 years

BeeBoo is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly flexible nanny for a private family based in Mies, who spends approximately three months a year in the Bernese Oberland. The family is looking for someone dedicated to providing care for their three daughters, who are currently attending school, and who values a stable, long-term collaboration. The ideal candidate will be lively, reliable, and self-sufficient, able to thrive within the family’s structure.

The Position

In Mies, the regular schedule is organized from Monday to Friday. Expected basic hours are:

  • 6:45 AM – 8:45 AM: Morning preparation and escorting the two younger girls to village school
  • 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM: School pickups, accompanying the children, and organizing end-of-day activities

This schedule accounts for approximately 27.5 hours each week, however, the family would prefer to establish a contract of around 42 hours per week to include added flexibility. Additional hours may be utilized when one of the children is unwell, during parents' evening meetings, or to accommodate specific family needs. Flexibility is a key aspect of this role.

Stays in the Bernese Oberland

The family also spends around three months a year in the Bernese Oberland. During these periods:

  • The nanny will be provided accommodation on-site
  • The children are enrolled in school in the area
  • The schedule remains largely aligned with school hours
  • During winter months, the parents work Saturday mornings until approximately 1:00 PM, necessitating nanny availability during that time

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with this arrangement, alternating between Mies and the Bernese Oberland.

Responsibilities

The primary focus of the nanny will be on the three girls, including:

  • Preparation and escorting to school
  • School pickups
  • Activities and daily support
  • Preparation of evening meals for the children
  • Management and organization of the children's laundry
  • Organizing and tidying their belongings
  • Assistance during periods in the Bernese Oberland
  • Care during illnesses
  • Babysitting or occasional evenings, as required by the parents' work commitments

A cleaner is already employed at the residence; therefore, this position does not involve housekeeping duties, as responsibilities will primarily concern the children.

Desired Profile

The family is looking for a candidate who:

  • Holds significant experience as a nanny for school-aged children
  • Is willing to commit long term, ideally for a minimum of two years
  • Is fluent in either French or English
  • Possesses a valid driving license
  • Is flexible and available according to family needs
  • Demonstrates autonomy, responsibility, and proactivity
  • Is quick-witted, organized, and capable of anticipating needs
  • Is comfortable with a schedule incorporating considerable free time during school hours
  • Is willing to live in the Bernese Oberland for about three months a year

The family is also open to candidates currently in training or studies who are looking to utilize their daytime availability effectively, as long as they can ensure the necessary flexibility for this role.

Housing

In Mies, live-in accommodation is available and preferred by the family. The nanny would have a separate apartment of approximately 45 m², featuring a bedroom, a spacious living area, and a bathroom. A live-out arrangement can be considered in Mies. The home is conveniently located about 5 minutes from the train station and is easily accessible via Léman Express. A parking space is also available. During the Bernese Oberland stays, live-in accommodation is mandatory.

No pets are present in the home.
