Nanny Position Available in Luzern
A warm and welcoming family of three, including a 21-month-old son, is relocating from the United States to Luzern. They are seeking a dedicated nanny to join them starting in November.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week
Main Responsibilities
- Engaging the child in outdoor activities such as trips to the playground, walks, and parks, as well as age-appropriate activities.
- Preparing simple meals and snacks, and assisting with feeding.
- Providing diapering, dressing, and general care for the toddler.
- Supporting the child's nap and rest routines.
- Maintaining cleanliness in play and eating areas.
- Organizing age-appropriate outings and activities.
- Encouraging the child’s independence through play, conversation, and routine activities.
- Performing light housekeeping duties related to the child.
Qualifications
- Warm, calm, and emotionally attuned personality.
- Reliable and responsible demeanor.
- A genuine enjoyment of spending time with toddlers.
- Ability to set calm and consistent boundaries.
- Proactive approach to childcare tasks.
- Good judgment with a strong awareness of safety.
- Effective communication with parents, providing short daily updates.
Experience
- Previous experience with toddlers, ideally aged 1–3 years.
- References from previous families.
- First aid training for children is an advantage.
Practical Requirements
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Russian is a strong plus.
- Comfortable with parents working from home.
- Non-smoker.
They are open to a live-in arrangement as well.
