Job Opportunity: Finance Manager / Finance Business Partner

We are currently recruiting a Finance Manager / Finance Business Partner (m/w/d) for a 12-month assignment with our client in Zurich. About the Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in financial planning, reporting, and business support activities. You will help ensure robust financial management while supporting key strategic initiatives, including ERP implementation, process shaping, and post-acquisition integration activities. This position offers broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a dynamic and fast-evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

As Finance Manager / Finance Business Partner, you will:

• Lead the monthly financial close process in collaboration with our external accounting partners.
• Lead periodic financial reporting, including reports for funding agencies, collaboration partners, and corporate stakeholders.
• Support the Head of Finance in the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
• Act as a trusted business partner to project managers and cross-functional teams providing operational support and financial analyses.
• Contribute to the successful integration into the new corporate environment, including the implementation of a new ERP system (SAP S/4HANA) and help establish efficient reporting processes and controls.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.

Your Profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, controlling, FP&A, audit, or financial consulting.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry.
• Experience working in a structured multinational corporate environment.
• General understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience supporting ERP implementation or finance transformation projects.
• IT certifications or hands-on experience with information technology systems.
• HR certification or demonstrated experience in human resources functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in German.
