Position: Team Lead - Fabrics & PowerBI

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Lead to oversee the Fabrics & PowerBI team within our Analytics & Data department. This role entails leading a team focused on PowerBI support, Fabric/PowerBI governance, and fostering the data citizen community. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in Microsoft Fabric and PowerBI technologies, along with proven team leadership experience. The Team Lead will report to the Head of Analytics & Data in the IT department.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the team responsible for PowerBI support, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
• Oversee the implementation and enforcement of Fabric and PowerBI governance policies and procedures to maintain data integrity, security, and compliance.
• Guide the team in building and maintaining the Fabrics data lakehouse for efficient reporting on IT-provided and self-service reports.
• Ensure alignment with PowerApp development teams on data structures and integrations.
• Support the team in defining and enhancing data modeling standards for the Fabrics lakehouse.
• Foster and grow the data citizen community by promoting best practices and offering necessary resources and training.
• Monitor team performance while providing mentorship and development opportunities.
• Ensure reports are created in accordance with Accelleron reporting standards (based on IBCS).
• Stay updated on the latest trends and updates in PowerBI and Microsoft Fabric to guide strategic improvements.

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in leading technical teams, ideally in analytics or data governance domains.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric and PowerBI technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive team performance.
• Proficiency in creating compelling data visualizations in line with IBCS.
• Experience with data governance principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of SQL, DAX, and other relevant programming languages is a plus.
• Fluency in the English language.
