Position Overview: Fabrics Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabrics Data Architect to join our Analytics & Data department within the IT organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the Microsoft Fabric data lakehouse architecture, which will support efficient reporting and analytics. This architecture will serve as one of the strategic reporting backbones, enabling both IT-managed and self-service reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data modeling, Microsoft Fabric architecture, and will facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams. The Fabrics Data Architect will report to the Fabrics & PowerBI Team Lead.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain the Microsoft Fabric data lakehouse to enable efficient reporting for both IT-provided and self-service reports.
  • Define and enforce data modeling standards for the Fabric lakehouse to ensure consistency, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with PowerApp development teams to standardize and enhance data modeling practices across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain the overall Microsoft Fabric architecture, ensuring alignment with the organizational data strategy and governance.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and maintaining data lakehouse architectures, preferably within Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong understanding of normalized and denormalized database structures and data modeling best practices.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including PowerApp developers and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to architect scalable and efficient data solutions.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills to support governance and knowledge sharing.
  • Fluency in English is required.
