Your Crew

You'll be part of our 5-person Innovation team based in our brand-new Zurich office. Your role will be pivotal in driving innovation and developing design solutions for Launcher Subsystems in R&D projects, all while exploring and advancing cutting-edge technologies and creating value for our customers. This diverse team comprises highly skilled engineers from various backgrounds and nationalities, each bringing their unique perspective to the table. Your Mission

  • Develop conceptual and detailed design solutions for launcher subsystems, mechanisms, test setups, and prototypes in R&D projects, both internal and customer-oriented.
  • Conduct simple to complex design tasks applying our standard CAD system.
  • Write and review technical documentation, project-related deliverables, and other specifications.
  • Proactively communicate and align cross-functionally with adjacent engineering functions and other departments such as operations, quality, and procurement.
  • Support continuous improvements and propose market-oriented initiatives to enhance existing products, technologies, and production processes, including harmonization of product families with Design to Cost (DtC) and Design for Manufacturability (DfM) in mind.
  • Represent your engineering field during meetings and reviews with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Your Story

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a design engineer or in a similar role within a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Extensive CAD software experience, preferably with Catia V5 and V6, ERP (e.g., SAP), PLM (e.g., Enovia or Teamcenter).
  • Proficient in English; German is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of the space industry and market.
  • Hands-on and DIY aptitude to support prototyping.
  • Experience in large composite structures and composite design.
  • Experience in CAE analyses.
  • Experience in product industrialization.
