AQC is a Swiss-based, international association established in June 2014 with the mission of enhancing quality and safety in the leather bracelet manufacturing sector. Our organization serves as a vital resource for all stakeholders in the watch and leather industries.

Our vision is to ensure that every leather bracelet is made with the utmost safety standards while proactively promoting a responsible global supply chain. As part of a dedicated team, you will work under the direct supervision of the Board and the President. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and managing the chemical compliance strategy in line with the strictest international regulations.
• Overseeing internal and external audits and certifications, ensuring they are updated proactively to meet the needs of the leather and watch industries as well as international regulatory requirements.
• Acting as an ambassador for AQC and upholding its core values.

Your Responsibilities

MURI 1: Chemical Testing

• Define and update the testing policy and control plans for all components of leather bracelets (leather, textile, interior, glue, threads, etc.).
• Manage and promote regulatory compliance services for other products.
• Scientifically manage AQC risk reduction programs.
• Establish and monitor the chemical testing budget.
• Address non-conformities, including conducting investigations and developing associated action plans.
• Review compliance documentation required from members.

MURI 2: AQC Audits and Certifications

• Define and update the requirements and audit frameworks for quality certifications such as ISO9001, AQC Labels, and AQC bracelet manufacturers certification.
• Organize and execute laboratory visits.

MURI 3: Process Ownership

• Develop processes related to chemical compliance and certifications.
• Manage and monitor process efficiency and performance, focusing on key performance indicators.
• Report to Management on progress and findings.
• Oversee improvement actions or projects (audit reports, documentation, technical items, etc.).
• Manage non-conformities and update quality documentation.
• Undertake any other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years' experience in chemical compliance within the leather or textile industry.
• An advanced degree in chemistry.
• Fluency in both English and French.
• Experience in team and project management.
• A solid understanding of legislative and regulatory aspects.
