About AQC
AQC is a Swiss-based international association, founded in June 2014, dedicated to promoting quality and safety in the manufacturing of leather bracelets. Our organization was established to provide enhanced services to all stakeholders in the watch and leather industries. We strive to ensure that leather bracelets maintain the highest safety standards while proactively advocating for a responsible global supply chain.
Join Our Team
As a member of a small yet dedicated team, you will work under the direct supervision of the Board and the President. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing the chemical compliance strategy in accordance with the strictest international regulations.
- Overseeing internal and external audits and certifications, ensuring proactive updates in line with the requirements of the leather and watch industries.
- Acting as an ambassador for AQC and its values.
Your Mission
Mission 1: Chemical Test
- Defining and updating the testing policy and control plans for all components (leather, textile, interior, glue, threads, etc.) of leather bracelets.
- Managing and promoting regulatory compliance services for other products.
- Scientifically managing AQC's risk reduction programs.
- Establishing and monitoring the chemical testing budget.
- Managing non-conformities, including conducting investigations and formulating associated action plans.
- Reviewing compliance documentation required from members for regulatory purposes.
Mission 2: AQC Audits and Certifications
- Defining and updating requirements and audit frameworks for quality certifications (ISO9001, AQC Labels, AQC bracelet manufacturers certification).
- Organizing and executing laboratory visits.
Mission 3: Process Owner
- Developing processes related to chemical compliance and certifications.
- Managing and monitoring process efficiency.
- Tracking and reporting on performance, particularly through key performance indicators.
- Overseeing management improvement actions or projects (audit reports, documentation, technical items, etc.).
- Handling non-conformities effectively.
- Updating quality documentation as needed.
- Performing any other tasks entrusted to you.
Qualifications
Knowledge
- At least five years of experience in chemical compliance within the leather or textile industry.
- An advanced degree in chemistry.
- Proficient command of English and French.
- Experience in team and project management.
- Understanding of legislative and regulatory aspects.
Skills
- Ability to organize and prepare meetings and events.
