Your Role

In this position, you will be responsible for purchasing materials that meet required technical specifications, price, delivery schedules, and terms within our Medium- / Low-Speed Division in Baden, Switzerland. You will ensure that all purchasing activities align with corporate policies and procedures while reporting to the Team Leader of Logistics & Operational Purchasing.

Your Responsibilities

• Full ownership of the purchasing cycle, from validation of PO MRP proposals to order creation, delivery follow-up, and express supply to the point of consumption.
• Resolve day-to-day purchasing issues, including invoice queries, collaborating with suppliers to prevent future problems.
• Track supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and resolve supply issues to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Manage material availability and inventory levels in line with demand, executing initiatives to reduce excess stock.
• Maintain master data, working with Category Management to monitor and resolve any gaps.
• Optimize the MRP process while escalating and resolving issues in collaboration with Power users.
• Process invoices and create credit/debit notes, ensuring accurate accounting practices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, reviewing forecasts and lead times to ensure service quality and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with supply agreements, framework contracts, and preferred vendor lists.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the procurement process.
• Provide operational support to internal clients, understanding their needs and facilitating informed purchasing decisions.

Your Background

• At least two years of professional experience in operational purchasing, ideally in a Buyer role.
• Solid knowledge of SAP ERP systems; experience with S/4HANA is a plus.
• Proficient in SAP and common MS Office tools.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in German and English.
• A collaborative mindset combined with a proactive, solution-oriented working style.
• Relevant further education aligned with the area of expertise is desirable.
