The Capability Area Wholesale Finance guarantees that our global financial processes within the wholesale business (furniture & food) are supported by information technology today and into the future. We are excited to expand our Capability Area Wholesale Finance even further!

Job Description

IKEA is on an exciting journey to transform our digital capabilities, integrating core business processes, people, data, and technology to enable a better future for home furnishing. As we undertake this journey, we seek exceptional individuals to join our team, and this role is no exception.

As a Business Analyst, you will closely collaborate with relevant stakeholders to clarify business needs, manage requirements, and evaluate solutions, delivering significant business value in a rapidly growing environment.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying potential improvements by eliciting, analyzing, challenging, and documenting all business needs.
  • Assessing business consequences and risks of solution alternatives regarding processes, organization, tools, and information.
  • Ensuring the quality and traceability of stakeholder needs and business requirements, while supporting the evaluation of solution alternatives.
  • Communicating, clarifying, and safeguarding evolving business needs throughout a project's or solution's life cycle.
  • Collaborating with architects and developers to clarify business needs during high-level and low-level design definitions and validations.
  • Reviewing test plans and cases to ensure compliance with requirements and supporting the planning and execution of testing activities.
  • Securing and handing over requirement-related artifacts to the development and line organization.

Qualifications

We believe you have:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in business analysis and modeling, along with a strong understanding of the requirements management process according to BABOK.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to see the big picture while also focusing on details, identifying patterns, and structuring complex information.
  • A passion for working in a global environment and a desire to understand the “Why?”.
  • Experience with large-scale ERP solutions, particularly Infor M3, in the Finance domain.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and tools, with a focus on acceptance testing, as well as an understanding of unit, system, and integration testing.
  • Exceptional listening skills, allowing you to effectively interact with stakeholders to understand their needs while ensuring they understand your perspective.
  • The ability to act as a role model for IKEA values, demonstrating strong communication skills and the capacity to build trustful relationships.

You are adaptable, able to thrive in an environment where conditions may change from day to day, and capable of delivering results on short notice.

Additionally, we believe you should possess:

  • A university degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working with global and/or remote teams.
  • Note for Switzerland: We prefer candidates with a valid Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship due to lengthy permit processes.
