Backend Engineer Opportunity

EURED is excited to announce a new contract opportunity for a Backend Engineer to join one of our key partners on an AWS Security project. This position is fully remote and the initial contract will be for 3 months, with a likely extension of up to 10 months. We are looking for candidates who can start as soon as possible.

Role Responsibilities

As a Backend Engineer, you will be instrumental in building and developing the backend of an enterprise AI Agent Platform. Your main focus will be to enable AI agents to communicate and integrate with one another through Agent-to-Agent (A2A) technology. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing backend services primarily using Python.
• Building and integrating REST APIs.
• Creating the Agent Gateway, including agent registration, configuration, and routing.
• Working with AWS Agent Core Runtime and Gateway to implement A2A and multi-agent communication patterns.
• Developing asynchronous, event-driven integrations using technologies such as SSE and webhooks.

We are looking for a strong backend engineer with a solid background in Python, API development, AWS, AI agent integrations, and event-driven architecture.

Desired Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a backend developer.
• Experience with Python backend development, ideally with async Python.
• Proficiency in REST API development, including building endpoints.
• Strong experience with AWS, particularly with AgentCore Runtime and Gateway.
• Experience in AI Agent / Agent-to-Agent (A2A) integration.
• Familiarity with API integration and routing.
• Experience with Microservices and distributed communication.
• Knowledge of event-driven development, including SSE and webhooks.
• Strong understanding of JSON-RPC 2.0.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock or multi-agent experience is beneficial.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry / ADOT is a plus.
