Proclinical is seeking an Automation Engineer with expertise in Emerson DeltaV systems to support CAPEX projects in a manufacturing environment. Your automation skills will be pivotal in driving the success of critical manufacturing investments. This role entails designing and implementing automation solutions, ensuring compliance with GxP standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

The position is based on-site in VISP, Switzerland, and offers a 1-year contract with the possibility of extension. Please note that to be considered for this role, you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Emerson DeltaV automation solutions for CAPEX projects.
• Configure control strategies, system interfaces, graphics, alarms, and process automation applications within the DeltaV environment.
• Prepare and maintain GxP-compliant engineering and validation documentation.
• Support the integration of DeltaV systems with process equipment, PLCs, utility systems, MES, and other plant systems.
• Execute and document testing, commissioning, qualification, and startup activities, including FAT, SAT, IQ, and OQ.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation, communication, and control system issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, data integrity, change management, and validation requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Validation, Quality, and Project teams to achieve project goals.

Key Skills and Requirements

• Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV system engineering and configuration.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining GxP documentation in regulated industries.
• Knowledge of commissioning, qualification, and validation processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within CAPEX project environments.
• Fluency in German is required; English proficiency is preferred.
