Position Overview
We are a forward-looking company that places innovation and technology at the core of our operations. To further enhance our IT capabilities, we are seeking an experienced IT Application Owner – Finance Applications to join our IT department. This is a full-time position based in Baden, Switzerland, offered with an unlimited contract and a hybrid working model.
Role and Responsibilities
In this pivotal and hands-on role, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end project management for finance-related information systems, including SAP ERP and non-SAP applications. You will take ownership of key finance applications and play a central role in driving automation and AI initiatives to improve efficiency and digital maturity across the finance function.
Your Responsibilities:
- Application Ownership for Non-ERP Tools: Oversee the management of finance applications, particularly focusing on APOC (Accounts Payables on Cloud) and other applications related to accounting, controlling, tax, and treasury. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance finance applications based on business needs, ensuring their stability, performance, and security.
- User Support & Issue Resolution: Provide ongoing support to end-users, ensuring a positive user experience. Troubleshoot interface issues with SAP ERP and facilitate collaboration with SAP CPI and SAP FI-CO technical teams. Coordinate the resolution of issues with various vendors and internal teams to efficiently tackle functional, infrastructure, security, and connectivity challenges.
- IS Project Management for Finance Applications: Lead project management for finance-related IS initiatives, including SAP ERP and non-SAP applications. Oversee the implementation of new solutions and functions within SAP, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Automation and AI Leadership: Spearhead projects aimed at optimizing finance processes through automation and AI, in collaboration with finance business partners.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage third-party vendor relationships to ensure alignment of performance with contracts. Act as a liaison between finance stakeholders and IT to align application capabilities with business needs.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in project management and application ownership roles focused on finance applications.
- Proven expertise in leading IS projects involving SAP ERP and non-ERP finance applications.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R).
- Experience in implementing and managing Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solutions with integration into SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience in automation and AI-driven projects that enhance finance process efficiency.
- Technical proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, with troubleshooting experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills, managing complex, cross-functional projects.
- Deep understanding of finance-related software, cloud-based solutions, and IT infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for tackling complex technical and operational challenges.
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and risk management related to finance applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with global teams.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented with a customer-focused mindset.
