Traffic & Logistics Coordinator – Aluminum & Metals

Location: Zug, Switzerland

Languages: English (German and Spanish a strong plus)

As part of our growth, we are seeking a motivated Traffic & Logistics Coordinator to support our global trading operations, with a focus on the United States, Europe, and South America.

Your Responsibilities

  • Logistics Coordination: Organize and monitor shipments by vessel, container, truck, rail, or air, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Documentation & Administration: Prepare, review, and manage shipping documents (BLs, CMRs, warehouse releases, certificates, etc.) while ensuring compliance with contracts and regulations.
  • Communication with Stakeholders: Liaise daily with suppliers, customers, warehouses, and logistics providers to coordinate operations and resolve issues.
  • Operational Support to Traders: Provide updates on shipment status, stock positions, and delivery schedules, and assist with hedging-related calculations (metal quantities, FX, pricing).
  • Inventory & Flow Management: Keep track of existing trade flows and warehouse stocks. Monitor and report on physical movements and logistics costs.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to optimizing traffic and logistics workflows and enhancing overall cost efficiency.

Your Profile

  • 1–2 years of experience in traffic, logistics, or operations within a trading, industrial, or commodity environment (metals preferred).
  • Understanding of Incoterms, international shipping, and trade documentation.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German and Spanish is a strong advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and communicative personality with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset.
  • Basic understanding of hedging or a willingness to learn.
