ROLE OVERVIEW
Balyasny Asset Management is seeking an exceptional Equity Analyst to join our portfolio team in Switzerland. This role will focus on identifying structural themes, relative-value opportunities, and macro-driven dislocations in the market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Investing and trading in publicly listed equities and relevant derivatives within cyclical markets.
- Generating investment ideas through comprehensive top-down and bottom-up fundamental analysis.
- Supporting financial statement analysis, including cash flows and balance sheets, while maintaining consensus models.
- Communicating with industry professionals and sell-side contacts to gather insights.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in an equity research role covering publicly listed companies.
- A passion for public markets investing across cyclical sectors, with the ability to combine fundamental analysis with macro and thematic perspectives.
- An advanced understanding of accounting and financial statements.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Preference for candidates based in Zug.
