The Europe/Africa Office, located in Zurich, is a vital part of the Rotary International Secretariat headquartered in Evanston, Illinois, USA. Our 40 dedicated employees are committed to providing efficient, high-quality service to Rotarians in Europe and Africa, assisting them in achieving the objectives of Rotary.
Our Philanthropy and Grants team in Zurich is currently seeking two candidates for temporary positions to support the team during their peak season in 2026.
Temporary Advisor (Italian Speaking)
Duration: Mid-March - Mid-July (100%)
Your Responsibilities
- Support the Rotary Philanthropy and Grants team by delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and appropriate processing of requests.
- Respond to a variety of enquiries from our Foundation donors regarding recognitions and contributions via phone and email in multiple languages.
- Provide donors with status updates on requests, prioritize urgent orders, and deliver reports upon request.
- Manage request/order processing: Handle a high volume of requests (Foundation PHF recognitions), verify data accuracy, enter orders into our system (Oracle PeopleSoft), send confirmations to Foundation donors, and archive closed requests.
- Oversee various tasks related to donation receipts: Check wire transfers, prepare and forward accurate documentation to our Finance Department, and provide instructions for bookkeeping entries.
- Manage master data, ensuring necessary updates on account information, corrections, and identification of duplicate data.
- Forward recognition requests to our Service Center in Pune (India) for processing and follow up accordingly.
- Coordinate shipping of urgent requests with donors and our Logistics team, ensuring timely deliveries.
What You Bring
- Proficiency in English and Italian is mandatory.
- Ability to handle customer interactions with tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Capacity to work effectively under pressure.
- Able to work independently and as a valuable team member.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office products.
