Team Leader Advanced Technologies - Electronics

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of experts in Electronics Development.
  • Execute R&D projects focused on innovative materials and technologies, overseeing the entire product development process from concept to industrialization.
  • Develop and optimize new smart materials for various products and applications, particularly sensors and actuators.
  • Prototype and materialize proof of concepts, including the design, realization, and implementation of electronic and software components.
  • Design and construct test setups to evaluate, study, and optimize smart materials and their applications.
  • Use modeling, simulation techniques, and data analysis to describe material behavior and enhance performance models.
  • Manage the operational execution of development projects, ensuring timely results while considering market needs and profitability.
  • Create and manage a network of internal and external partners, including development partners and suppliers.
  • Interact with customers to support commercial and business development activities for new products and technologies.
  • Support technology scouting and innovation management activities.

Our Requirements

We are seeking a well-rounded candidate with a blend of technical expertise (electronics, mechanics, software) and entrepreneurial skills, particularly within research and development contexts.

  • MSc or PhD in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience in programming (Python, C/C++), 3D printing, PCB design, and hands-on creation of mechatronic devices and systems.
  • Experience with scientific experimentation, data analysis, reporting, and knowledge of measurement technology.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools and CAD software is an advantage.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and technology.
  • Highly driven, technically curious, results-oriented, and proactive.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining networks.
  • Fluency in English (written and oral, C2 level); proficiency in German is a plus.
