Main Duties
- Teach across a diverse age and ability range, tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Contribute to the wider school life through participation in sporting events, extracurricular activities, and other enrichment opportunities.
- Engage collaboratively with the Science & Mathematics Departments.
- Participate actively in boarding life.
- Pursue continuous professional development and seek opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.
- Mentor a small group of learners, monitoring their achievements and well-being.
- Manage departmental resources, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to the safeguarding of all young people.
- Participate in subject-related administration and attend departmental meetings as necessary.
- Adhere to the school’s assessment and reporting processes and participate in parents’ meetings when required.
Person Specification
- A good honours degree and/or a further degree in a directly related subject.
- A commitment to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- A passion for your subject, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- A willingness to embrace innovative teaching methods and experiment with new practices.
- Readiness to supervise learners completing the MYP Personal Project or the DP Extended Essay.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (native level).
