The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Teacher of English to join our Secondary team. This is an exciting opportunity to teach English in a school that values intellectual challenge, precision of thought, and excellence in communication.

The successful candidate will:

• Teach English across the IB Middle Years Programme.
• Possibly teach IB Diploma English, depending on experience.
• Deliver rigorous, well-structured lessons aligned with IB philosophy and assessment.
• Develop pupils’ analytical writing, reading comprehension, and oracy skills.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment design, and moderation.
• Support literacy development across the school.
• Contribute fully to pastoral life and the wider co-curricular programme.

We are looking for a teacher who combines strong subject knowledge with clarity of instruction and high expectations.

The Candidate

• Has experience teaching English within the IB MYP and ideally the IBDP.
• Understands IB assessment criteria and curriculum design.
• Is academically rigorous and well-organized.
• Sets high expectations and secures strong academic outcomes.

Experience with the IB curriculum and international schools is advantageous.
