System Architect Optics

Your Main Tasks:

• Define system architecture for optical consumer products, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Translate product requirements and consumer needs into comprehensive system specifications.
• Lead system-level integration activities, balancing optical, mechanical, electronic, and software requirements.
• Oversee the technical definition, architecture, and roadmap for advanced optical systems in consumer products, such as multifunctional observation devices.
• Specify and validate system interfaces across multidisciplinary teams (optical, mechanical, electronic, firmware/software).
• Serve as a technical reference for both internal and external stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to drive product industrialization and ensure quality assurance.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and innovations in optical science, materials, and technologies.

Your Profile:

• Master's Degree in Physics, Optics, or a related field (ETH or an equivalent, University of Applied Sciences).
• At least 3 years of proven experience in optical product development and system-level architecture, especially in consumer environments; knowledge of binoculars and laser rangefinders is a plus.
• Experience in working within multidisciplinary teams and collaborating throughout various project phases.
• Strong team spirit, alongside excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in development methods.
• Fluency in both German and English.
