Your Responsibilities
As a key contributor to our development projects, you will engage in the entire product lifecycle, from initial concepts to series production. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading system-level integration activities while balancing optical, mechanical, electronic, and software requirements.
- Translating product requirements and customer needs into comprehensive system specifications.
- Specifying and validating system interfaces across multidisciplinary teams.
- Serving as a technical reference for both internal and external stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing teams to support product industrialization and ensure quality assurance.
- Staying informed about emerging trends and innovations in optical science and materials.
- Participating in and leading technology projects (up to TRL6), establishing your reputation as a recognized technical expert both within and outside the organization.
Job Requirements
We are seeking a candidate who meets the following criteria:
- Master's degree from ETH, FH, or an equivalent institution in physics, optics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in optical product development and system-level architecture.
- Expertise in optical design, with additional experience in binoculars and laser range finders being advantageous.
- Proven experience working within multidisciplinary teams and collaborating across all project phases.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in development methods.
- Fluency in both German and English.
