The role sits within the Global Field Service Organization, supporting multiple IT and manufacturing functions, including IT Infrastructure and Operations, Security Engineering and Operations, and Manufacturing IT Applications. This position serves as a crucial link between global IT teams and the local manufacturing site, ensuring effective IT-OT integration and the successful execution of both IT and manufacturing projects.
Job Description
The IT/OT Support Administrator will provide Level 2 and Level 3 desktop and infrastructure support for a chemical manufacturing site. Responsibilities include field service duties, coordination with global IT teams, and supporting the implementation of IT and OT projects.
Key Focus Areas
- End user support (hardware, software, peripherals)
- Supporting IT Infrastructure, IT Security, and Manufacturing Applications
- IT-OT integration and coordination between engineering, operations, and project teams
- Documentation, asset tracking, incident handling, and change management
- Support for industrial control systems (ICS), process control networks, and automation environments
Responsibilities
- Resolve Level 2/3 incidents and service requests via phone, email, walk-up, and portal within SLA.
- Provision and maintain desktop/laptop hardware, peripherals, and software.
- Manage network printers, conference room equipment, digital signage, etc.
- Pilot and support Windows OS image deployments, updates, and patches.
- Coordinate planned and unplanned IT service outages with stakeholders.
- Escalate incidents according to Incident Response procedures.
- Maintain documentation and knowledge base for fixes and procedures.
- Support Lifecycle Management projects (Compute, IT-OT Infrastructure, DCS, Applications).
- Assist with IT asset tracking (logical and physical).
- Support Windows server administration, backup, and recovery.
- Coordinate maintenance requests related to power, HVAC, cabling, etc.
- Assist with monitoring and network administration, including change and incident management.
- Support IT Security teams with vulnerability and security incident response.
- Support antivirus and WSUS patch management for enterprise systems.
- Coordinate IT-OT support for capital projects from design to commissioning.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- CCNA Cisco Certified Network Associate
- 5+ years of IT industry experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows platforms (Windows 10, Windows Server 2017, 2019, 2022)
- Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, router and switch configuration)
- Mobile Device Management experience (iOS)
- Hand-on experience with HP, Xerox, and Zebra printers/copiers
- Project coordination/management experience
- Fluency in English (and ideally French)
Desired Qualifications
- Cisco CCNP – Cisco Certified Network Professional
- Fortinet NSE – Network Security Expert
- Experience with Hyper-V or VMware
- Experience with Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls
- Cisco switch configuration and administration
- Experience with acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment and systems
