Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for Supply and Inventory Planning within the Medium & Low Speed Division at Accelleron Switzerland AG. Your primary goal will be to maintain an optimal balance between demand and supply, ensuring that optimized inventory levels are consistently achieved while identifying and addressing supply risks.

Reporting to the Global Planning & Fulfilment Manager, this position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. You will need to effectively balance costs with customer demand while managing any potential supply chain disruptions.

Your Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze data to generate a constrained supply plan; establish and lead rough-cut capacity planning linked to the demand plan to develop and execute both short- and long-term supply plans.
• Perform deep-dive analyses to identify capacity constraints and recommend both short-term and long-term solutions for bottlenecks, collaborating closely with production teams to align supply with demand.
• Identify supply chain risks and disruptions, contributing to the development of contingency plans.
• Determine the impact of supply plans on expected inventory levels and monitor inventory optimization actions to prevent shortages or excesses; coordinate cross-functional inventory reduction activities and conduct financial risk assessments related to inventory decisions.
• Coordinate progress with the Production Team and category management for outsourcing; collaborate with external vendors and Category Managers to optimize capacity and ensure material availability.
• Generate reports on supply and demand data, inventory levels, and supply chain performance for management, providing inputs into the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle regarding supply risks and constraints.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Your Background:

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Project Management Certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in S&OP demand, supply, and inventory planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns and issues, and develop data-driven solutions.
• Proficient in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Experience with supply chain management software and advanced functions in Power BI and Microsoft Excel is essential; ability to build complex data models from various data sources is required.
• Understanding of market trends and financial impacts of supply chain operations on the business, with a proven track record in implementing supply chain best practices.
• Able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
