Position Overview

As a Strategic Procurement Manager, you will actively contribute to the formulation, execution, and evolution of procurement strategies related to locating, evaluating, contracting, and maintaining the best sources of supply for the materials and services required by Operations. You will consider all aspects such as quality, value, performance, cost, and the ability to respond quickly to changing supply requirements, including licensing and logistics services. You will take ownership and accountability for supplier and vendor selection and development, delivering ongoing and sustainable improvements in procurement costs to support SR Technics' growth objectives.

Your Tasks

• Develop and execute procurement and strategic sourcing strategies to continuously reduce total cost of ownership and improve quality, standards, and delivery performance of services and products purchased, while maintaining awareness of changing business trends in the marketplace.
• Analyze spend data and trends to identify, develop, recommend, and justify strategic sourcing initiatives that meet the needs of SR Technics Switzerland.
• Recommend the most appropriate and efficient methods for the formation of strategic sourcing initiatives and agreements.
• Negotiate strategic sourcing agreements and manage changes to supplier and vendor contracts in accordance with compliance requirements, policies, rules, and regulations.
• Apply negotiation and mediation skills to resolve contractual supplier and vendor disputes and determine appropriate resolutions.
• Analyze bid responses to determine the most responsive and responsible bidders to optimize total cost.
• Collaborate with operational and other Procurement teams in developing and forming strategic sourcing agreements, and monitor and track supplier and vendor performance.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, business administration, or economics, with a preference for Supply Chain or Purchasing education.
• Professional experience in a technical environment, preferably within the aviation sector, combined with expertise in Purchasing and Supply Chain management.
• Demonstrated sourcing and contracting experience with excellent project management skills focused on results.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective relationship management and teamwork, complemented by robust communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Extended working knowledge of databases and data handling tools.
• Language knowledge: German level B2 and English level C1.
